australia-based volunteer roles

Volunteering with fws in an Australia-based role can be a lot of fun. You'll get to use your excellent time-management skills - as you'll suddenly be juggling your day job with your fws job!

As we grow, we've been recruiting volunteers that have these work-life balance skills down-pat. As a result, we seem to be creating a committed team of fws members that manage to kick goals for fws and also with family and friends at weekend barbies. If you think you can commit to fws without letting us down, and without letting down your friends and family, then we'd like to hear from you.

tanzania-based volunteer roles

Research has that the international world of volunteering is experiencing a huge boom. Apparently, every woman and her backpack are jetting to far-off destinations to enjoy a luxury sight-seeing holiday backed up with a bit of volunteering at a local NGO before heading home. Such is the boom, that countless tour operators are offering these "voluntouring" packages to clients. The deal is, you pay a princely sum and you are guaranteed some sensational sightseeing and some contact with a philanthropic cause on your way home.

We think this is a great trend - a terrific way to introduce volunteering to some travellers who might not have stumbled across it themselves. But we just want to advise that this is not what fws is about. While our volunteers will naturally be able to enjoy Tanzania's sights, safaris and local delights, we do not charge volunteers for their time here and consequently do not promise to deliver an array of specially-tailored "voluntour" experiences. We are simply looking for volunteers whose focus is our project. fws is in Tanzania to create the world's most awesome children's village for the local community of Sinon. We are after volunteers who see this as their primary reason for travelling to Tanzania to help out fws. If you're keen to help establish Kesho Leo children's village - and then worry about safaris and sightseeing as a secondary mission, then you sound like just the person we need in Tanzania.
