the fws volunteer village shopping list
- $5,000 - fit-out of four of the fws volunteer village huts (beds, desks, chairs, shelves - we can ask our farmers-come-carpenters labourers to build many of these things for us)
- $2,000 - landscaping of grounds and structure of communal area at fws office, so that meetings and presentations can be held without disrupting the running of Kesho Leo children's village
- $2,000 - two solar water heating systems so we can warm water for our showers in an eco-friendly, cost-efficient manner
- $3,000 - three solar panels (and battery systems) so we can run the fws volunteer village and office on green power, rather than using grid electricity
-
$2,700 - four 5000L and one 3000L rainwater tanks (and related plumbing) to enable the entire fws volunteer village to collect all its domestic water needs (and thereby not rely on town water which is often unsafe for drinking).
Contributed thanks to Tract, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, Town Planners.
