Job Description: Volunteer Carpenters Wanted to work onsite in Tanzania, East Africa.
• work in a picturesque, rural village that is only 7kms from bustling tourist town, Arusha, the gateway to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara
• join our small, vibrant, down-to-earth team and have grassroots input into this community-minded project
• share your carpentering expertise with our energetic team of 20 Tanzanian labourers
Join a small team of Aussies, work on the ground in Tanzania, help build Kesho Leo children’s village (a stunning architect-designed, eco-friendly structure), interact with Tanzanians daily, brush up on your Kiswahili skills, work from 8am to 4.30pm five days a week (with an early knock-off on Fridays), put in a minimum of two months (although 3 or 4 would be even better) and then head off on safari!
If you’re good with a hammer and saw, up for an adventure every day, and are culturally sensitive, we’d love to hear from you.
Liaise with: You will be directed by Daz.
Time: 8am to 4.30pm five days a week (with an early knock-off on Fridays)
Term: 2-months plus. Positions available as of now!
Location: Kesho Leo Children’s Village, Sinon village, Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa.
Skills: Expertise in fit-out carpentry.
