Fostering local culture
It is important to those working with fws that the kids we house in our early learning eco-friendly children's villages, not only learn about their local culture, but actually learn to live it. We will ensure Kesho kids are exposed to the cultural education they would have been, had their parents lived.

Local staff & management
A core principle of fws is to ensure that all of our children's villages are managed and staffed by local people. We value the importance of projects in developing countries being managed at a grass-roots level, so that local people are able to contribute to and manage their own future in a way that is in-keeping with their culture.
The Aussie fws management team facilitate the building of the children's village (with local builders) and will train the local management staff to run the children's village efficiently. In doing so, we aim to sustain our local management teams and help them to reach self-sufficiency over time.
