Job Title:
Kesho Leo Early-learning Teacher
Job Description:
We require a qualified teacher to implement our specially-designed early-learning education program. The role will be responsible for:
Planning and timetabling morning activities for pre-kindergarten children, afternoon activities for primary children, evening study skills for secondary-aged children and weekend activities for the whole group (the role will grow and change as the students do, initially the role will only involve younger students)
Implementing the early-learning bilingual curriculum and working with, and training, local staff
Maintaining resources and individual profiles of the children
Learning to speak 'everyday' Swahili (in-country training available)

Secretary (and education program manager) and Kesho Leo children's village Manager.
Time:
5 hours, 6 days per week (weekend rostering and hours negotiable)
Term:
12-month posting.
Location:
Kesho Leo
children's village, Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa.
Skills:
Effective cross-cultural understanding and excellent communication skills to confidently work with local staff
Effective problem solving and organisational skills
Skilled in planning educational programs in a variety of settings (non- English speaking an advantage)
Creative in the implementation of the program.
An understanding of the principles of play-based learning, thinking skills and bilingual learning.
Innovative, flexible and has ability to work with resources available.
